Whisky Cask Kilt Pin
Contemporary geometric Kilt Pin from the Grain & Glint series using oak from a whisky cask from the Glenfiddich distillery. The lids of the whisky casks are painted a different colour when new whisky is put in to mature. Islay has filed into the wood and rubbed back the paint to reveal a landscape of layers studded with three silver rivets which hold the wood in place.

This is the third iteration of this design and due to the nature of making and materials, no two Kilt Pins will ever be exactly the same. The plan is to make the others in the drawing, which can be ordered at any time....there's plenty wood!
