The Delta Dundee collection was established in 2018 during the building of Kengo Kuma’s V&A Dundee, with new pieces continuing to be added. Islay found similarities with the geometric shapes of the architecture and the way it was informed by its inspiration, the Arbroath cliffs, with her own ideas about abstracting organic forms and finding geometric structures in landscapes. Plus she loves a triangle, and a stripy one even better! After featuring for years in her sketches and drawings this motif finally made it into her jewellery work with this collection of minimalist geometric pieces designed to add a touch of timeless style into everyday wear.
